This forum is for local planning authorities to participate in a dialogue on e-planning services.

About

About this Forum

This forum is part of a series of participative exercises being piloted by DCLG and other government departments.

Our approach is being evaluated by the independent, non-partisan Hansard Society, who would appreciate you taking the time to fill out their feedback survey (you need to be logged in to do so). This survey concerns your experience participating in the forum rather than e-planning issues raised on this forum.

Moderation

We always aim to be fair and reasonable. We are concerned with the quality of the discussion, not the interests of one individual, group or idea over another.

To maximise the impact of your post, you should keep it respectful, relevant, address the issues with the challenge of implementing e-planning solutions and provide considered reasons for your views. If you disagree with the existing system or proposals offered, we encourage you to provide alternative solutions. This is a dialogue, so please comment on other posts and keep the conversation going.

To ensure a lively and safe online space for a discussion, comments will not be posted that the Review team feels do not help take the discussion forward or contravene the forum discussion rules. In this instance, the Review team will usually email to advise you of the reasons why the comment was not posted, but no ongoing discussion will be entered into.

The forum is moderated by members of the LPA community it serves, as well as by Planning Portal representatives. If you are interested in becoming a moderator please contact: marketing@planningportal.gsi.gov.uk.

Read the full moderation policy.
